I first met Jim when one of my three oaks became stressed due to some construction around it. He has tended to it quarterly since, and it was beginning to look better when it again took a turn for the worse. Jim knew something was wrong, and one day decided to look around the area for water leaks. After crawling in to some bushes next to the house he indeed found one, and i had it fixed immediately. Not only did his persistence save me from water waste, higher water bills, and future water damage to my home, but more importantly, he saved this 100+ year old tree that surely would have died. I would trust no one else with my oaks!.Ruth Z.

We just wanted to thank you for the terrific job you have done with all of our trees! Under your careful and watchful eye they are really thriving. We especially want to thank you for saving our 90 year old Mayten tree that would have surely died by now without your continuous excellent care, but instead has turned a corner and is now much, much healthier. We have never met such a knowledgeable arborist / plants man and if at any time we can give you a referral we would be more than happy to do so.Malcolm and Suzanne

Jim has maintained the health of our trees and other landscaping for over seven ear. I first contacted Jim when I noticed that the leaves on the nine redwood trees in our backyard were turning brown. He quickly diagnosed the problem as red spider mites and treated the trees to remove the pests. He also treats the tree root systems by injecting them with additives to promote root growth and internal tree strength while helping the trees to resist insect attacks. We recently began using Jim’s Fertilization and weed control services and our Marathon lawn and trees have never looked better.Ken and Judy

Jims Home and Garden has serviced our trees over the past 10 years. Jim saved our favorite ornamental pear tree after a bad attack of Fire Blight Fungus. Our tree is beautiful and healthy now. Jim is reliable honest and extremely knowledgeable in his field.Ann

Jim has been working with us for several years now. He does all the maintenance on our citrus and evergreens including our red woods. In doing so he has literally saved much of our landscaping. Our citrus trees have a chronic fungus, which he manages so that we have beautiful trees, tremendous harvests, and fruit that is safe and edible. His biggest feat, however, was diagnosing the culprit that killed our apricot tree as oak wood fungus. Oak wood fungus infests the soil and will kill subsequent plantings. Jim advised us to plant a Mayten tree, which he found for us. It is resistant to the fungus, and is a perfect specimen for the location. We enjoy working with Jim and have really appreciated and benefited from his expertise and knowledge.Gretchen Lash

About 12 years ago we planted a Pink Trumpet tree in our back yard and found that it was not growing at all. We were referred to Jim by our neighbor whose tree Jim had saved. After examining our tree, Jim diagnosed and corrected the problem. Over the past several years our Trumpet tree has grown into the most beautiful specimen of this type of tree that we have ever seen. (See picture). We have since recommended Jim to many of our neighbors (and our church) and he has done top notch work for all.Tim Lewis

Jim has worked miracles with my “Charlie Brown” redwood and has introduced two healthy and thriving trees to our yard. He came highly recommended and for over 5 years Jim has continued his excellent service of caring, feeding and nurturing our dearly loved trees and yard.Barbara
